A Path-breaking Move

Nuetech has discovered that its prospective institutional & industrial customers often feel deterred by the capital costs for the high-end systems they need, despite their conviction about solar energy benefits. As a gesture of its appreciation of this problem, the company is now introducing BOOT -- Build-Own-Operate-Transfer -- a revolutionary concept in India’s renewable energy industry. With BOOT, Nuetech first intends to demonstrate the distinctive advantage of its systems to hesitant customers, build confidence in them, and then create a win-win for them and itself.

Nuetech’s BOOT business will run on a pilot scale in the first year and go full-scale later, based on market response.

4-Step Mechanism

For the implementation of its BOOT business, Nuetech will

	BUILD the system – for its new BOOT Division which will be its initial and internal customer. The Division will purchase the system from Nuetech and install it at the customer’s site.
	OWN the system – until the customer decides to buy it and become its legal owner.
	OPERATE the system – until the customer buys it. BOOT Division will also install and run a conventional heater backup at its cost so that the customer will not run out of specified-temperature water, even on cold & dark winter days.
	TRANSFER the system – to the customer, immediately on fulfilment of the contracted ownership terms.

Pay For Service

Until ownership, the customer will be enjoying the benefits of the system as a lease from the BOOT Division. During this period, the customer will pay a fixed monthly PFS (Pay For Service) fee based on a minimum quantity of water supplied at pre-specified temperature levels, and additional quantity will be metered and billed extra. Apart from this payment, the customer will have to agree to certain terms for the smooth running of the installation from the site.
